Hey Ears Try This Out

I present music from 1965 (some digressions) to the current time including Rock, Progressive, Psychedelic, Folk, Hard Rock, Country Rock and anything else I feel like playing from my personal collection. All categories decided by me. It will include short descriptions between tracks addressing artist, song title, album, origin and year. I promise you will hear artists that you’ve NEVER heard before. Do you have to know/recognize the music to enjoy it? GOD, I hope not. I will challenge you, but with the best of intentions. I will NOT play anything I wouldn’t listen to. Trust me EARS. Each show is about 1 hour in length (rare digressions).

The Head of Radio

Monday Oct 23, 2023

Monday Oct 23, 2023

Yes, It's Radiohead. It includes releases from 1993 ("Pablo Honey") to "A Moon Shaped Pool" from 2016. A band that never rested on their laurels. They experimented and progressed and all the better for it! They changed how they presented the songs, BUT the great tunes are still there. Could it be a challenging listen? Yes. Is it worth it in the end by giving it time? Most definitely!

To My Bandmates 1

Thursday Oct 19, 2023

Thursday Oct 19, 2023

This is a special show for me and there will be one more to follow. We started off very young. We were 13 to 14 years old. We played covers of the music that we loved from the era. Initially it was Gary (drums), Dan (guitar and vocals) and me (bass and vocals). The songs you will hear are by the original artists that inspired us. We started out as "On the Spot" and were briefly "Brain Police" and then a fourth member joined, Greg (guitar and vocals) and we became "Crystal Ship". The podcast picture you see is of "Crystal Ship" with pictured left to right: Greg, Gary, Dan (praying) and me. We later became a trio with Carl (drums and vocals), Dan and I and became "Trialism". Hang on for show #2.

The Year 1968

Thursday Oct 05, 2023

Thursday Oct 05, 2023

This is a selection from a list of the Top 25 albums released in 1968. They are in chronological order from January through December. The 2 limitations for this show were: they had to come from my collection AND the time limit by trying to keep near one hour. Thanks Greg!

British/UK Folk

Wednesday Oct 04, 2023

Wednesday Oct 04, 2023

This show represents British Folk which really shined from 1968 to 1975. Where have we seen that time frame before? I included 'UK' since one band is from Ireland and another from Scotland.
