Hey Ears Try This Out
I present music from 1965 (some digressions) to the current time including Rock, Progressive, Psychedelic, Folk, Hard Rock, Country Rock and anything else I feel like playing. All categories decided by me. It will include short descriptions between tracks addressing artist, song title, album, origin and year. I promise you will hear artists that you’ve NEVER heard before. Do you have to know/recognize the music to enjoy it? GOD, I hope not. I will challenge you, but with the best of intentions. Each show is about 1 hour in length (rare digressions). You can expect/hope for ~ 3 to 4 new shows/week. [Est. Aug. 2023]

There are some previous artists on the show and some new ones as well. The time frame runs from 1990 to 2019. This is as country as you will hear from me. The reason for the term 'Alternative' is to designate that it is later than about 1980(?). If these were released in the 1970's they would have been classified as 'Country Rock'. Don't you love it?

I decided to include all Folk as 'Folk Show' and not split 'Acid, Dark, Ghostly, Lo-Fi and Indie Folk' into a separate category. From now on it is all 'Folk'. It is not traditional folk. The artists are from all over the globe and include: US, UK, Sweden, Australia, Canada and the Netherlands. The time span on these tunes ranges from: 1969 to 2024.

Hand it to Michigan to provide such a great catalog of tunes. This features a selection of artists from Michigan spanning in the time between 1961 to 2003. I broke a rule on this one - there are 'Hits" on this show. The inspiration came from Judy Allchin. Thanks Judy!

Is this for everyone? Probably not, but I (think) hope you find something you like. I call it 'Challenging Listen' for a reason. My guess is if you know more than one artist, it's because I featured them on a previous podcast. As you may know, I do LOVE challenging your ears. Dave A,, thanks for the inspiration!
