Hey Ears Try This Out

Close your eyes...imagine cruising near Fallasburg Park (that's Lowell, MI for non-natives) listening to your 8-track player around 1971-72. These are the sounds that I remember, you? Looking for a party, are ya? Just to make sure of what you may think you're seeing, those are NOT the remnants of anything I had as an 8-track collection. I had a much Better Collection and it is Long Gone!

This is Not a traditional folk show. It is mainly Folk Rock, Indie Folk, Acid Folk, etc. There are some repeat featured artists, but I do not repeat songs. As I always promise, there will be some you have never heard before.

A glimpse into releases of David Bowie from 1969 to 1983. We start off with Space Oddity and end with China Girl. David was 'King of Glam Rock" in the early to mid-70s along with Marc Bolan. What band did David stop from giving up?

This includes the big three: Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. The setting is the Northwest, in particular, Seattle, WA. The time is 1991 to 1994. Many of the members of these bands are gone, including: Layne Staley, Kurt Cobain, Scott Weiland, Chris Cornell and Mark Lanegan. Eddie Vedder lives!

More EAR assault, but in a good way. There are many UK bands, but some US bands and one from Australia.

More Psychedelic Garage, British Psychedelia and Psychedelic Pop. The range of this show is between 1965-1970. Most of the artists are from the UK. I sneak in some US artists as well. The title is misspelled on purpose. Why? I just felt like it. 

All the hits you didn't hear (but thought you would) in the third installment. If you read these descriptions, you already know my philosophy. So, these are 'non-challenge' shows. You should be familiar with ALL of these artists. Don't worry, there will be many challenges ahead. MORE COWBELL, Cheers EARsters!

Or "The Allman Brothers Band Show". Southern Rock would NOT be what it was or what it became without their contribution. Led by the brothers Duane (guitar) and Gregg (keyboards and vocals), they created the category. You could argue that Southern Rock is an amalgam of Country Rock, Blues Rock, Boogie Rock, Jam Rock, etc. It is all of that, but it still stands on it's own and exists to this day. This show is not all Allman Brothers. The usual culprits are represented.
