Hey Ears Try This Out

This continues the highlights of the first 99 shows. I couldn't fit them on one show, so here we go. Thanks to all the listeners. If you didn't listen, this effort would be long gone.  [NOTE: I screwed up. I introduced 'She's a Rainbow' but played 'Ruby Tuesday'. Please forgive me]

This celebrates my 100th podcast. I take highlights from the last 99 shows. Many of the selections include input via comments from my listeners. The other tunes are just ones I wanted to play again. That means I broke my rule of only playing any song once...deal with it. That means I also had to re-rip these tunes since I delete them once played. Now they'll be deleted a second time. One more show of this type, next.

This is the fourth installment of this wonderful category. As always, there will be some you know and many you won't. The consistent thread is they all fit seamlessly together. If you like the style, you'll like the result. This is show #99!

Whimsical fodder with a bend towards the late 60's/early 70's. Revisit that time frame with a few newer songs. John Martyn, Dr Strangley Strange, Donovan, Richard Thompson, Dando Shaft, etc.

This is a great assortment of performers of Power Pop. You'll recognize many of these artists. Also, there will many you've never heard of. Therein lies the challenge.

FOR MATURE AUDIENCES   These tracks were kept in the vault to release now for your approval. If you have heard of over 3 of these artists, you are doing very well. Some of these artists I just discovered recently. That means their vault time was minimal.

Take a good size spoonful please. If we were Brits, 'pudding' means any dessert. Since this is the US, pudding is something you eat with a spoon (as pictured). The length of time between releases is: 1969 to 2023 (a span of 54 years). The countries represented are: Sweden, Norway, Canada, US, UK, France and Iceland, If you know over 3 artists, you are doing very well. Thanks again to Andy Thompson for the inspiration!

This is not meant to be disingenuous. It is not cutting down their voice or accomplishments. I could have called the show "Unique Voices", but a frog is easier to find a picture of. Croak on...

This a GREAT headphone listen. Is it for everyone? Probably not. Time period? Mostly 2007 to 2012 with some digressions. I love the multiple acoustic instrumentation that were used during these recordings. Countries represented: US, UK, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, and France. One word to describe: gorgeous. Thanks to Andy Thompson for the inspiration!
